Meet the Team

Behind Flyleaf is a team of four book lovers. We are:

Swamini (Editor)

Swamini is a writer and editor with a BA in Literary and Cultural Studies. She writes about all kinds of things – sometimes about food, but mostly about her life. Originally from Pune, India, she enjoys reading heartrending poetry, crocheting, and seeking out the next cat to pet in her free time.

Ray (Editor)

Ray completed a BA History degree at King's College London in 2024, where he specialised in queer histories. He enjoys reading literary fiction from around the world, poetry, memoirs and history books. He loves being immersed in the world of strong characters' minds as they navigate through complexities of life.

Michaela (Design & Editor)

Michaela is a designer and art director with a passion for all things print. She is currently pursuing opportunities in book design and production. Originally from the United States, she loves taking in everything London has to offer, especially all of the incredible museums and bookshops.

Lorena (Design & Social Media Lead)

Lorena is a visual storyteller with a BA in Illustration. Fascinated by the weird and whimsical, she finds inspiration in literary fiction, mind-bending sci-fi and cosy bookshops. When she’s not immersed in a book or painting a fantastical scene, you’ll find her adventuring through a fantasy RPG – usually when she should be asleep.
